What happens after a Synister Speed winner is drawn?
A sweepstakes drawing identifies a potential winner, but several steps must happen before that person can be announced as the confirmed winner or receive the prize.
1. The administrator records the drawing result
The Administrator conducts the random drawing from eligible entries in the applicable pool and records the selected entry according to its procedures.
2. The potential winner is contacted
The administrator contacts the potential winner using the email address, telephone number, mailing address or other information submitted with the entry. The contact method and response deadline are governed by the Official Rules.
A legitimate notification should not require gift cards, cryptocurrency, wire transfers or peer-to-peer payments simply to claim a prize. If you are unsure whether a message is real, contact Synister Speed through our official contact page rather than replying to the message.
3. Eligibility is verified
The selected person may be asked to prove identity, age and residency and to show that the entry complied with the rules. Required documents may include an affidavit or declaration of eligibility, tax forms, and liability or publicity releases where permitted.
The selected person remains a potential winner until verification is complete.
4. An alternate may be selected when required
If the potential winner is ineligible, cannot be reached, misses a deadline, declines the prize or does not complete the required documentation, the prize may be forfeited and an alternate potential winner may be selected according to the Official Rules.
This is why winner confirmation may take time after the drawing date.
5. The winner selects or accepts the available prize
Some promotions offer a vehicle or a stated cash alternative. The winner must make the selection within the required period. The prize cannot be substituted, transferred or changed except as permitted by the Official Rules.
6. Prize fulfillment begins
Vehicle fulfillment can involve title processing, registration paperwork, transportation, insurance requirements and delivery scheduling. A cash prize may require tax documentation and payment processing. Timing depends on the rules, winner responsiveness and practical fulfillment requirements.
Unless the Official Rules say otherwise, winners are generally responsible for applicable taxes and expenses not expressly included with the prize. Consult a qualified tax professional for advice about an individual situation.
7. The winner is added to our archive
After confirmation—and with any required consent—we publish the winner in our Winners Archive. We aim to include the promotion name, drawing date, winner's approved public name and location, selected prize and fulfillment status.
How long does the process take?
There is no single timeline for every promotion. 10-15 Days after the promotion ends has been our typical turnaround time. Verification and fulfillment can be delayed when documents are incomplete, the administrator cannot reach the potential winner, title work is pending or transportation must be coordinated.
For the terms governing a specific drawing, read that promotion's Official Rules.
